Topsail Island North Carolina - Award-winning writer and North Carolinian Diane Chamberlain is inviting fans to help her celebrate 20 years of authorship.  To mark the occasion, she is holding an online contest, with the winner receiving tickets to a party in her honor on Topsail Island, as well as an off-season vacation stay.  The Island is the setting for her best selling Before The Storm, and its soon to be released sequel Secrets She Left Behind.  A second place winner will receive a $200 gift certificate, and other winners will receive autographed copies of her books.  For more information and to enter, visit www.topsail-online.com/dianecontest/.

The bestselling author of 18 books, Chamberlain’s novel The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes was Target Bookclub’s selection for the summer of 2008.  Frequently set in North Carolina, her novels are complex stories about family love, compassion and forgiveness combined with mystery and suspense.  She received her master’s degree in clinical social work from San Diego State University, and has worked as a medical social worker and also as a psychotherapist in private practice.  Chamberlain credits her work in psychology for giving her a keen interest in understanding what motivates people and how they think and act, and for giving her the ability to create real, living, breathing characters.
